In the Bob Jones University Press Writing and Grammar Student Workbook each h chapter begins with a reading selection from a good book. The passage features an example of the grammar about to be introduced. Often times, the selection is from a book I'm not familiar with so I look it up to see if it should added to our reading list and usually it is.
This is the gripping story of a boy's dramatic encounter with Christ on the
Cross. As he brings Christ vinegar to drink, he witnesses the crucifixion and is
forever changed. Newly repackaged classic is sure to be a hit with all kids and
adults, too.
We enjoyed this book very much. It was one of the books we read aloud. The book is historical fiction and offers an insight to the life and times of Jewish cities with a large Roman military presence. One can get a good feel for what the city of Jerusalem was like during the time of the Crucifixion, the different sides of the city and the levels. There is much to be learned here and the suspense is a bonus to be enjoyed. We hope you will give it a try around the time of Passover, Easter or any time of year.
